Pet portraits means a painting of a bust of your pet! No fullbodies or complex backgrounds at this time.
Custom pet portraits are based off of one high quality, clear, photograph of your or a family/friend's pet! Often, I prefer client's sending me multiple photos of their pet at different angles to provide me more details on their texture, personality, and general shape.
I specialize in dogs and cats, however I can attempt other animals such as horses, rodents, rabbits, reptiles, and birds.
I only have digital examples at this moment in time; however I do many different traditional mediums as well. Traditional styles are: acrylic on canvas, graphite pencil, and colored pencil (Prismacolors). For traditional pet portraits, shipping is free anywhere in the USA only.
If you are purchasing a digital pet portrait, you will receive a high resolution, printing-ready (300dpi), .psd file. The image file will be large, being adequate enough to be able to print at an 8"x8" size at least. You can expect the size of this file to be around or over 3,000x3,000 pixels large. The file size can increase to at most 4,500x4,500 if needed. For a fee, digital portraits can be printed on high-quality, matte paper or on a stretched canvas and shipped to you.
You may notice some style differences within the examples I have shown. The boxer is in my attempted hyper-realism style, which if the client wants, will be a higher price than my other style (realism) due to extra time spent. The longhaired dachshund on the bottom left was painted in 2014, so a long time ago in terms of my improvement. However, I included it as an example as I still feel very proud of it!
